Byron Katie, founder of The Work, has one job: to teach people how to end their own suffering. As she guides people through the powerful process of inquiry she calls The Work, they find that their stressful beliefs—about life, other people, or themselves—radically shift and their lives are changed forever. Based on Byron Katie's direct experience of how suffering is created and ended, The Work is an astonishingly simple process, accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and requires nothing more than a pen, paper, and an open mind. Through this process, anyone can learn to trace unhappiness to its source and deal with it there. Katie (as everyone calls her) not only shows us that all the problems in the world originate in our thinking: she gives us the tool to open our minds and set ourselves free.

Diamond Cutting

The work of Byron Katie cuts right to the core, raw and real. If you really want to know the truth, but only 100% of the time..... do the work

Yet another new-age person claiming that nothing is actually real, that suffering is imaginary, and that we are at fault for all our own problems. None of these people can ever explain, past a kind of collective consciousness, the suffering that beings go through that is not related to themselves - the famine in Yemen, child and adult sex slaves, and the exploitation of non-human animals. Apparently it's not "real" if it's seen in a photo. While I understand the concept of the collective consciousness and understand taking responsibility for oneself, this is really only workable if you live in a western country and have money. Take a look at her website. I suppose poor people, because they aren't seeing clearly enough and working on themselves hard enough, aren't entitled to her wisdom - I did listen to just part of one episode, but I have been familiar with these people and concepts for years. To add cheapness to the situation, the podcast I listened to was recorded at one of her ultra-expensive seminars, so she can't even be bothered to create her own show. Makes my stomach clench just to listen to her.

I have never felt better

The "work" is radical in its simplicity for what it promises; all I can say is that a week into it-it has delivered.
