Verrrry laid back...
If life is, for the most part, an ongoing stream of low-key events, then This Board Game Life has nailed it-- and if that's what they're going for, I give them a lot of credit. The last episode I listened to had ruminations on the sincerity of Wil Wheaton's board game habit and a long segment on bookshelves and the food at Ikea. The point is-- this really is about a life playing board games. Like a dogme or mumblecore film (or even like the stereotype of a Eurogame), it's almost determinedly non-dramatic-- but not unfamiliar.
Very low key, but I really love listening to them!
Lotsa talk about lotsa games
This podcast, though rambling, at least rambles about games most of the time rather than getting diverted into other topics, and refreshingly spares the nonsense, though the main host comes off as somewhat jaded and joyless a good deal of the time. One suggestion: The music is poorly suited and too loud. Dump it..?
