Are you ready to get really honest? Join host Theodora Blanchfield to discuss living life vulnerably as we navigate through health, careers and...life. I'm a writer, running coach and marketing consultant living in NYC. I've written for Mic, Modern Loss, Huffington Post, Glamour, Daily Burn and more. You can expect to hear from me *and* guests about the kind of things that make us wonder if we're oversharing or not: mental health, grief and overcoming life's challenges — and about the hard work to show up and face down these obstacles.
||CleanEpisode 3: How to turn around the vacation sads||Travel can be so, so good for your mental health—but it can also be really tough on it, too. I was lucky enough to just take a big trip to Spain, Morocco and Sweden, but my depression snuck into my suitcase with me. Here's what happened and how I dealt.||1/16/2019||Free||View in iTunes|
||CleanEpisode 2: Mastering the Creative Side Hustle with Kat O'Leary||I have such admiration for my friend Kat O'Leary, which is why I scheduled her as my first guest! Kat works a 9-5 but has more side hustles than I can count—and more than she can remember! On this episode, Kat and I talk about everything from spirituality (including our lapsed Catholicism) to writing to running. Enjoy!||1/1/2019||Free||View in iTunes|
||CleanEpisode 1: How I Found My Voice||Welcome to This May Be Oversharing. I firmly believe that the things we're afraid to talk about are the things we SHOULD be talking about, so I'm going to tackle all of that here. Mental health, grief, career, running—let's get into all of it! I'm your host, Theodora Blanchfield, and I'm a writer with bylines in Women's Health, Prevention, Bustle, Mic and Daily Burn, among others. I'm also a certified yoga teacher, personal trainer and running coach, so I have some credentials to back up some of my fitness talk. I also blog at Preppy Runner, where I've been writing since 2009 (RIP Losing Weight in the City!)||12/18/2018||Free||View in iTunes|
I've been following Theodora since she has started her blog. I fell in love with her style and it comes full circle with her podcast. She is hilarious and relatable. Anyone who struggles with depression and anxiety will appreciate Theodora.
This is...not a good podcast. It seems like an overly self indulgent exercise. Don’t see what a listener would get out of this.
Looking forward to more episodes
It is rare when someone is as honest about their struggles with mental health, weight loss and ultimately finding their “why.” After being a fan on her website for many years I’m so excited to see where this will go! Theodora lays it all out there with brains, wit and a perspective that lets folks know it’s ok to fall and the journey is always in getting back up again.
