Customer Reviews

A real scientist talking about a subject he loves!!

Vincent Racaniello is a professor at Columbia University, and he knows virology. His enthusiasm for this topic is exciting and infectious. The podcast usually has at least one other expert, and the discussions are fascinating. Polio, West Nile, Aids, and many many more. I would like to hear a "TWIV" show on the evolution of viruses, with some speculation about how viruses first got started. Which came first, the virus or the cell? Or something else? Thanks!

The enthusiasm of the host and guests demonstrates why science is worth the struggle. And virology is just one of those realms that is of endless fascination to folks who are not virologists.

Great podcast

A fascinating subject presented by scientists who love their work. Enjoyable and educational. Now that I've listened to all the older TWIV podcasts, I must wait for a new one each week. Sigh. Good job, Drs. Racaniello, Despommier, and Dove (and guests)!
