In Feb 2018, an aspiring actress vanished from her Hollywood apartment. Rolling Stone journalist Neil Strauss was asked to help the family get answers. Together, they found them...sometimes at great personal risk. For the first time in a serial podcast, go inside a gripping multi-state investigation as it unfolds from the moment of the disappearance to each twist and turn in the case. Stay not only more informed than the news, but listen as the official story is dismantled with in-the-moment first-hand reporting with the leading figures in the investigation. The new #1 podcast from the team behind Up & Vanished and Atlanta Monster.

Unethical Garbage

Completely unethical and potentially even illegal for this guy to be tampering with an ongoing investigation for the sake of a podcast. Still blown away that they included the call with Mary less than a day after her fiancé committed suicide. Completely tasteless, and poorly narrated on top of it.

I really enjoyed this podcast up until Episode 5. Hearing the absolute glee Neil got from talking to the fiance within hours of hearing the news of Spotz's suicide was disgusting. Hold it together, man, and keep it professional. Still, I stuck around for Episode 6. At this point the podcast seems to be erring on the side of sensationalism rather than verified facts. Again, I was struck by, what seemed to me to be false sympathy on Neil's part. He's too eager to get the dirt from anyone who will give it and it shows.

Unlike a lot of the other reviews I really enjoy the other podcasts presented by Tenderfoot TV and Payne Lindsay, but this is a far cry from what I've come to expect of them.

Hey Google

For those of you who don’t believe that this story is true. Try googling the people in question. Literally, it’s as easy as that! Smh!
