That Couple

You know: That couple. The one you'd normally resent for being as rad as they are, but they're just so rad that instead you're thrilled to be friends with them, because it's a rad experience. They have you over for game night, which quickly degenerates into hilarious banter and snarky commentary on all the stuff you care about. Even some stuff you didn't know you cared about. And sure, their dog is a little intrusive and there's occasionally a bowl of day-old guac on the table, but you don't care about all that. Because of the radness.

Oh and also: Elizabeth and Andy are funny in unique and complimentary ways, and they chat with performers, writers and other entertaining folks who are generally on a career level that's really interesting -- successful and committed, but not necessarily hugely famous...yet. It's funny and rad, so do yourself a favor, bub.

Like Disneyland without the fatties

Mrs. Laime's voice and energy is buh-dorable! It's always nice to hear some perky young people bantering. Imagine one of those improv group podcasts, but the hosts and guests are actually funny. The show format is pretty relaxed, allowing for a lot of tangental discussions without doing cliche radio or drama club gimmicks. That said, even the totally pointless Oprah Game is a hoot. Get in on the ground floor with this one!

I wish I could give it ten stars

This podcasts features (true) stories of the husband having the fingers of a French doctor up his rumpus and the wife rubbing cocaine into her gums instead of, y'know, DOING coke. As odd as that sounds, this might be the most sweetly hilarious podcast I listen to. I would call it the Parks & Recreation of podcasts. If that's not enough to convice you, you can google image search Elizabeth Laime and pictures of dirtbikes come up. Awesome right?!?
