Description

Have you ever felt like there is more to Jesus than Christianity is willing to admit? Or that Christian thinking and practice tends to obscure or distract from Jesus more often than not? "Transmissions" are an extension of YouHaveHeardItSaid.com. This AudioBlog/Podcast focuses on common issues of faith and spirituality, and re-imagines them in new light. Jesus takes shape as a radical and revolutionary figure who poses a threat to the status quo, calling to question the entrenched views of religious culture and Empire itself. The content is dense, thought-provoking and challenging despite the short length.

Eyes to see, Ears to hear

I have often prayed that the Lord would give me eyes to see and ears to hear...to be introduced to deeper understanding and truth about His very nature. When I was invited to a small life group/bible study several months back, I was starting to hear a voice saying "favor is found here, these children are my loved ones." Kevin is one of those people the Lord introduced me to at this group and he, among the others there as well, has been a direct product of that prayer. For the Lord heard me, and had a girl named Anna invite me to a place where eyes to see and ears to hear could be cultivated. My life has been enriched by all who attend the group. Kevin's understanding and love for articulating the texts...hearing him sharing his understanding of the Holy Word has been a huge encouragement for me to start learning more about the original Greek and Hebrew. It has encouraged me to look beyond the veil. This podcast is awesome.

Non-Christians might like this a lot.

Great for people who like Jesus or find him fascinating, but don't understand how Christianity has become what is. This aims for the kind of religion everyone can benefit from.

well done

Great little homily on the parable of the good samaratin. Can't wait to hear more!
