Greatness

Doug and Chad are just excellent at what they do.

Mr. Dissapointed

I've been a fan of Chad Parsons since he was at PFF. His perspectives are unique, against the grain, smart, objective, and clever. He uses numbers and data to support his arguments and findings, compared to the less-effect subjectivity argument. He flew solo for a while, and his podcasts were very good. I'm surmising that he must have received some criticism for having no regular co-host, so he brought in Doug, which resulted in higher downloads, but a major downgrade in show quality. Chad's perspectives are still interesting and thought-provoking, but Doug is just awful. He rants angrily as if he's scolding anyone who doesn't agree with him. He doesn't form arguments and he bases his entire approach to Fantasy Football on personal experience and subjectivity - the exact opposite of Chad. Unfortunately, Doug and Chad agree altogether too often, but what Chad fails to realize (go back and listen to old podcasts if you don't believe me) is that Doug completely changed his tune/philosophy since joining the podcast and Doug is rarely the one to contrive a new idea. Listen closely and you'll only hear Chad generating the thought-provoking discussion, and Doug chiming in after to aggressively belabor Chad's point. And when Doug goes on one of his many rants, Chad politely backs him up, but you can hear in his voice, a lack of conviction in agreeing with Doug. It's like that episode of Family Guy where Brian is dating Drew Barrymore. Brian claims that she's really smart and that she laughs at all his smart jokes. But when Stewie asks "is she laughing first, or just laughing because you're laughing?" Brian is lost for words. That describes Doug and Chad pretty accurately. Doug never really brings anything new to the table, that which isn't coated in a subjective personal experience. Chad's alwasy the one to bring new information to the table and Doug kind of latches on (go listen to their first five episodes for proof if you don't believe me). Anyway, I have nothing against Doug, I just don't think a non-numbers analyst was the right choice UTH's co-host and I think Chad settled. How about that Rotoviz guy instead? You know? Someone with actual data to bring to the table? Not just a guy who shouts "I just don't get how some people can do ______" all the time?

Thank you

There was a need for more dynasty football talk. I love that it's ALL DYNASTY. You don't have to worry if it relates to dynasty or redraft.
