Unorthodox [uhn-awr-thuh-doks] : not conforming to rules, traditions, or modes of conduct, as of a doctrine, religion, or philosophy. Unorthodox means you are different – you aren’t like the rest of the world. You might not have used the word “unorthodox”. If you are anything like me maybe you would have defined yourself as freak, outsider, loner, criminal, thug, not one of them. I’ve spent my whole life on the fringes of society and now as a follower of Jesus I believe I can either hide my past or allow God to use me to reach other men who might feel out of place and beyond God’s reach. The Unorthodox Man Podcast is a mixture of me looking at parts of following Jesus from different perspectives and stories of redemption from other men that felt alone and overlooked by society but have been changed by Jesus. I am not sure where this goes but I want to start right here, and right now, as a call to the Unorthodox – stand out, stand proud, be Unorthodox!

I'm an Angry Man
Mike you rock Brother. This spoke to me in ways I've never heard before. I'm so glad I found this podcast and know about you.
My whole life has revolved around anger. Not the good kind though. Like you, when I'd find myself furious they'd be about things that were really out of my control. Now after listening to this, I'm going to make it my mission to be intentional about recognizing what I can and can't control regarding my anger. I will get angry. I have no doubt. However, now it will be used to fuel me into doing something productive.
Thank you. Your words speak volumes.
Love the concept of the show and love seeing it grow!
