Great cross-section of Arab culture and politics

A charming short podcast series about Arab culture and politics, past and present, hosted by Syrian-American journalist Rasha Elass. Two podcasts feature current crisis in Syria, including the experiences of a political prisoner in a Syrian prison. Another is about the lives of atheists in Egypt and the rest of the Arab World, and medieval Arabian tales recently translated into English. Class’s interview style is incisive yet personal, with touches of humor where appropriate. Highly recommended for those interested in current Middle Eastern culture and society.
