Informative but somewhat biased
As someone who works in the environmental remediation field, I think this show does a good job of breaking down often complex issues to be easily understandable. I do think they could do a much better job of either acknowledging or preventing the inherent bias in their explanation of these issues, which is that their business is reliant on you thinking that your water is unsafe to drink (and that their specific type of filters are the best solution for this). This could be pretty easily remedied by acknowledging the bias up front and/or adding more “may” or “could be” type statements into the reporting (e.g. “if you live in an old building, lead leaching into your drinking water COULD BE a problem”). I’d also love to see more information on how to improve source water rather than just improving personal water supplies.
