Amy S. Bridges and Paula D. Atkinson are Washington DC friend-wives hungry for more social justice, feminism, and truth around our culture's propaganda of weight stigma, diet mentality and thin idealism. Served with delicious sides of current makeup obsessions, celebrity gossip, and carefully considered theories about the queens on RuPaul's Drag Race. Amy and Paula are unapologetically liberal, spiritual, and hysterical. Hope you're hungry.

Listening just makes you do better...

I’ve been listening to this podcast since around episode 48. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I was immediately hungry for more. Since then, I have: adopted the phrase, “We don’t talk about people’s bodies.”; been more aware of FUSBPH2TDW (you’ll get it when you listen); cheered for feminism; searched my local drug stores for Peach Kiss makeup (no luck, Amy); and shared my opinion of Drag Race with you all while listening in my car. This is a free-of-charge college course where cursing is allowed and laughing is inevitable. Stay hungry, friends!

perfect in all the ways

I wish Paula and Amy could brief me every day on recent news and pop culture, but until then I have this podcast.

Giving me some words!

Hi Paula and Amy, thank you for giving me some language to use with friends and family around weight. This always comes up, especially with my friends talking about their kids and health/weight. I’ve been able to share “your body is going to be the shape it’s going to be” and about the crazy science of food, how it’s messing with our brains and bodies. I have so much more to learn, but your show is awesome for it!! Thank you for making me laugh, and speaking up about people or color.
