Initially great, but now a waste of time

Initially I loved this podcast. Dr. Ubell has great insight into weight loss. However, as podcasts are published into fall 2017 and beyond, she begs every episode for reviews, and then spends several minutes reading them over the air. With these shows being named for busy people, the begging is annoying and seems to be an enormous waste of time. I have unsubscribed and can’t bring myself to listen anymore. I tried skipping through the reviews, but there are better uses of my time. Thanks for the knowledge, but please, be considerate of your listeners.

Initial review:
This podcast is fantastic! The first episodes (especially the first 10 or so) are a lot of nuts and bolts about weight loss based on eating habits. Because Dr. Ubell is a pediatrician-turned-life coach, she has great perspective as well as breadth and depth of knowledge. Understanding that our thoughts are responsible for so much in our lives is huge. While I am not a physician, I am currently in a rigorous PhD program and understand a busy life on the go. I look forward to each podcast and frequently find myself recommending this podcast to friends, family, and colleagues. Since changing my mindset awat from a calories in/out model and understanding my body's insulin response, I have nearly completely eliminated snacking and lost over 20 pounds in a period of about 3.5 months. I am determined this is a lifestyle change, and I am grateful for Dr. Ubell's guidance. Her podcast makes everything approachable and I feel like we are sitting and talking together as friends. This is a must listen!

Impeccable timing

Just when I felt most overwhelmed I was told about this podcast and even though I don’t actually do everything you say...yet, I know I’m making a positive change just by listening. I promise I’ll start doing some of the suggestions eventually! I am so glad I have so many episodes left and a commute during which I can listen and learn.

I started listening to this podcast a few months ago, and I have to say it has had a huge positive impact on my life. I am a female physician, so nearly everything in this podcast is extremely relatable. So far I have been able to lose 18lbs in a few months by changing my thoughts about food which has lead to better food choices and less emotional eating. I also noticed a change in my thoughts when encountering situations in work/life that would have previously triggered anger or frustration or impatience. I am better able to recognize when my mind wants to have a negative spin on a situation and coach myself to think about it in a different way. Overall, I think listening to this podcast regularly will continue to help me improve my quality of life as well as get down to my goal weight. I look forward to every new episode. Thanks Katrina!
