Welcome to what’s Eating Erica Jacobs!
This is a faith-based, recovery-focused exploration into what it means to create, renew and restore this world, through hard conversations, parable and more than a few curse words.
This podcast is NOT instructions for how to heal afflictions and hurts, but a journey through recovering in real-time. I am no expert, and I am not on the other side of addiction, but I know there is a way we can heal and thrive in the presence of each other. I know that by being ruthlessly honest in our search for freedom, and by sharing our experience with each other, we can cultivate a reality that is wired with faith, strength and balls.
This podcast will include parable, story telling, poetry and conversations & interviews with real people who want what you want--the peace and grace to participate in the ongoing creation of the world in ways that are liberating and meaningful.
I'm grateful you are here! Let's heal, let's know God a bit better, and let's for sure say some swear words sometimes!

I pray that as I continue re-sensitizing myself to what is wrong, cruel and in violation of humanity, that I am able to take right action as I’m doing in my own life.
Thank you Marissa, Lexi, Emily, Laura, Lindsey, Charlotte and everyone who listens to this recording, for seeing me through the end of a devastating and harmful 33-year relationship with my mother and the beginning of a profoundly freeing and loving relationship with myself. -
Episode 48 | An Amended Eulogy
I re-wrote a eulogy for my Dad...fourteen years later. Because eulogies are living, breathing documents, and because my first one was a total sham,
