Customer Reviews

Fascinating and Clever!

The two girls on this podcast are intelligent and funny and I love this podcast! I'm already a big fan of the "stuff you should know" podcast and this one is another great addition to the series.

Stuff I wish my mom told me

What can I say? It's witty, well thought out, and informative. Another great Podcast from the How Stuff Works family.

Setting women - and humanity - back 2000 years

Stuff Mom Never Told Me (apparently): 1. Women are gabby, catty and crampy. 2. Men are superior to women, especially in the work place. Each podcast brings new and exciting spins on tired, old stereotypes. The only thing more amazing than the sheer idiocy of what they're saying is the fact that one can tell that these girls truly believe every single word that spews forth from their mouths. For example (paraphrasing): "The first thing you want to do when you start working at a new office is start gossiping with the women, to try and find out the dirt on the other employees. You can start out with celebrity gossip, TV shows, whatever. Then, find out where the boys of the office are going and follow them to drinks for happy hour on Wednesday - invite yourself along if you have to - but DON'T bring coffee and donuts in for them on Thursday, you know, to help them nurse their hangovers. Nobody likes a mother hen. At any rate, make sure you identify the alpha and beta males right from the start. Alpha males have original ideas and tend to work alone, but beta males like helping people, so they're good to use when you need help. " The only thing worse than what they're saying is how they choose to say it. As each episode progresses, their ignorance of the subject matter is slowly eroded by their ignorance of the English language. Don't waste your time listening to this podcast, unless you want to be blown away by two 20-somethings with infuriatingly unintelligent, old-testament views on women and the world around them.
