Customer Reviews

The content is great... is the technological execution that is terrible. I LOVE listening to Mike, his advice is can't miss. Here's a fun game for frequent listeners: guess which caller will provoke a wood mulch/chemical salts/don't prune in the fall rant from Mike each episode. As for the technological aspects: 1) episodes often get mislabled (last week's content with this week's title), or worse, recently a posted show wasn't even YBYG, it was This American Life, or All Things Considered or something, 2) do we need to hear the weather forecast in Philly, or promos for upcoming shows in the podcast? 3) sometimes episodes just don't post at all (links are broken!) The solution is simple: spend 90 minutes and do a little post-production!!

Great show - not reliable on iTunes though

I like this show... although it does take some getting used to it. I also read Mike's book on Composting which is a must read for anyone with a garden, whether you compost yourself or not. The only issue I have is a often have issues with iTunes on this show - this week it's giving me an error and not downloading the latest show saying it's not available on the server. I have had times when the previous week's show was posted again instead of the latest one... If this can be fixed, that would be great. Gwen from Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

LOVE this show! So glad its now a podcast!

We begged WHYY to podcast this show, and are thrilled its now available to listed to at our convenience. Mike McGrath is very opinionated and it might take a bit to get used to his style, but we are totally dedicated to his common-sense, naturalistic theories. Our "black gold" compost pile is a direct result of his advice. Thank you!
