When talking about our economy, nightly newscasts only seem to report on the stock market and the unemployment rate. But that doesn’t tell us much about how millions of Americans are getting by. From prison phone rates to the high cost of diapers, Congressman Keith Ellison looks at how the people outside of the billionaire and millionaire class (you know, most of us) engage the economy.

Essential

Ellison covers the waterfront and more-all the issues of class, race, identify, gender...and grittier takes on this like banking regulations, health insurance inside baseaball. Would love for this podcast to grow in popularity-never salacious, keeps it real.

Very proud of cool Keith

For keeping it real on national media, Keith Ellison can get a bad wrap. Our state of MN is infamously passive aggressive. Incidentally, someone who is not passive will be framed as aggressive. As a Minnesotan progressive, I'm so grateful for the work Keith does representing a progressive agenda in Washington. He's woke about all the most important issues. What's more, the experts he's brought to bear on this podcast continue to impress and inspire.
