Customer Reviews

An immediate Disappointment! And it isn't truly Free!

It calls itself “World Literature Podcasting...” but when you hover the Mouse over the Title It Actually says: “Improve your Knowledge of English Literature and the English Language.” When you look at the actual offerings, you’ll be confronted with an absolute sense of its Ethnocentricity, for it covers only a handful of Titles, all of which are either of Anglo, French, or Russian Origin, disregarding the great Literature from all but two Continents, altogether. Moreover, when you read it in Detail, only TWO (2) of the podcasts are indeed Free. The subsequent chapters must be paid for. Between the glaring Ethnocentricity of the Choices, and its own Self-Description, plus the Provision I must pay for it, I'd rather just find other Podcasts available elsewhere which are indeed World Literature, and are more detailed and totally Free. Unfortunately, this Review's Rules prevent me from being any more Specific about them, and where to find them. My opinion is that, since there are far better choices elsewhere, within iTunes/iTunes U, and that THOSE are Free of Charge, this Podcast Series strikes me as both Misleading and a waste of your money. Sorry I cannot abide by the request of the iTunes Editors and say anything good about this Podcast, for I’d be Lying. I pass! --
