Description

A podcast where Guy Montgomery and Tim Batt continue to watch and review WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS once a week, every week, for one year. Their previous two 'seasons' (one year of watching the Adam Sandler film Grown Ups 2 plus one year of weekly Sex and The City 2 watches) gained the pair an international following and equal parts admiration and bemusement from outlets like VICE, The AV Club, The Guardian and more. With tens of thousands of fans worldwide, this surely is the silliest reason anyone has ever listened to a podcast in the history of the medium.

A Hilarious Descent Into Madness

These guys really know how to stretch a dumb idea out into a fun, engaging, and hilarious series. Listening to the hosts as they watch and review the same movie every week for 52 weeks and descend into hopelessness and desperation is wildly entertaining, best enjoyed from the secondhand safety of never having to watch the film at all. The Worst Idea of All Time Podcast is high-concept, hilarious, and occasionally profound. A must-listen.

Insanity shouldn't be this funny, but it is!

I start laughing just at the idea of these poor guys taking this on. My hearts bleeding for you. I actually liked the first Grown Ups movie, but this one's unwatchable. I mean it's not a good bad movie, it's a really, really bad one. I couldn't think of anything worse than watching this just one time all the way through in one sitting (I couldn't), let alone every single week for a year, and then reviewing it each time. And the reviews are actually really good, at least for now while they still have a little coherence left. Then again, not sure how much you had to begin with to take this on. Let me know when you start taking donations for your therapy after this is done, if you two last that long. I see a new podcast forming after this is over- "Dr. Phil's 52 weeks of talking 2 guys off a ledge".

Hooked

I heard about this podcast on the How Did This Get Made? podcast. The concept sounds absolutely crazy, but I already love it. I've just wrapped up the first episode and i'm excited to hear how much better/worse this movie is going to get.
