Heal DC is dedicated to healing ourselves, healing our communities, and healing our Planet, with the understanding that health and healing are closely linked to the elimination of racism, economic exploitation, and militarism. Topics often focus on DC, which should be a national model for people’s health, but is far from it.
HEAL DC has been on WPFW’s airwaves since 1992, and is heard Monday mornings, 10-11AM. Joni Eisenberg is executive producer and host. Chuck Hicks is frequent co-host, and other members of Heal DC Team include Pam Rogers and Damian Bascom.

Powerful and Progressive

Joni Eisenberg is a stalwart supporter of progressive activism and is a pillar of media in the DC metro area. She's a local hero and has relationships with many local and national public figures and heroes. Joni is my "ear to the streets" regarding anti-establishment protests in DC (like environmental justice, climate change and health equality) but also brings forward issues that matter worldwide. I've been listening to her show for years and love that it's now finally available in podcast format!
