Like having two friends who know the industry

I love this show! I'm a published novelist. There are lots of places you can go for inspiration and information about the business, but by and large people in book publishing are circumspect and you don't often get the low-down. From Danielle and Walter you get the low-down, and its delivered smartly and considerately. And I learn something new in every episode, something that's happened to my peers, or something I just hadn't considered. It's your weekly pep talk.

It’s a great show for those of you that want to write in a more professional capacity. They won’t tell you how to finish your novel (that’s for you to figure out, and is the whole fun of the process anyhow), but they will share with you what the life of a writer is like. Writing is such a solitary activity that one often forgets that the tradition of literature has birthed a really vast community, and listening to these two is a comfort. It’s as though I have partners in this crazy pastime that I hope becomes a career. Listening, I’m filled with jealousy of their lives as working writers, and find that to be just as inspiring as anything! I love their explications of granular details of the writerly life, professional and creative and everything between. Keep it coming, PLEASE.

Excellent, thoughtful discussions on writing, and the episodes are a nice length.
