Join me as each time I either prep fiber for spinning, or sit at my spinning wheel. There is also music and stories while we spin our fiber into yarn.

How not to do a podcast

I was excited to see a spinning podcast on iTunes, but quickly lost my enthusiasm when I started listening. This is a good example of what not to do with your podcast: The sound quality is awful because it's apparently recorderd using the built-in mike on an mp3 player. This may have improved in the last episode, but who can tell, because the episode is all music and no spinning! Decide on a format and stick with it. I want to listen to a podcast about spinning, not Christmas songs. Focus already.

Time improves many things

Like most beginner podcasts, this one went through the learning curve of improvement. Start with the episode after the Christmas music and you will find improved audio. There is still some music always enjoyable and good to spin by.

Good information

This podcast is like having someone right beside you, teaching you how to take care of Angora rabbits, choose fleeces, decide how to process them, and then how to go about the processing. The podcaster alternates between the informational episodes (my favorite) and a spinalong with music and stories. I haven't listened to all of them, but I listened to several of the very first ones, and I didn't find the sound quality to be a problem in listening to them. For substantial content this is one of the best I've found.
