Description

You Must Remember This is a storytelling podcast exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. It’s the brainchild and passion project of Karina Longworth (founder of Cinematical.com, former film critic for LA Weekly), who writes, narrates, records and edits each episode. It is a heavily-researched work of creative nonfiction: navigating through conflicting reports, mythology, and institutionalized spin, Karina tries to sort out what really happened behind the films, stars and scandals of the 20th century.

Fascinating Stories

Karina Longworth is a very talented writer and storyteller. I’ve loved every episode I listened to so far. I disagree with others complaining about her style of speaking. I think her voice has a nice quality. However, I do agree that the inability to correctly pronounce Ts is very distracting and the strange mispronunciations of words and names takes you out of the story. She should definitely research how to say names before recording and if they have a T in their name be mindful of not turning it into a D. I still think this is a wonderful show and recommend it to anyone interested in stories from Hollywood.

Hope you come back soon. I

I really enjoyed the podcast. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into putting a show together.

Her narration is riveting

I find her narrative style mesmerizing. That, combined with her research and ability to contextualize stories makes this podcast a must-listen for fans of old Hollywood.
