Description

You Must Remember This is a storytelling podcast exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. It’s the brainchild and passion project of Karina Longworth (founder of Cinematical.com, former film critic for LA Weekly), who writes, narrates, records and edits each episode. It is a heavily-researched work of creative nonfiction: navigating through conflicting reports, mythology, and institutionalized spin, Karina tries to sort out what really happened behind the films, stars and scandals of the 20th century.

Very Cool

If you don't know Karina Longworth she has been one of the most prolific young writers about film over the past decade. This podcast gives you a chance to find out just how knowledgeable and interesting she really is. The first two episodes have been terriffic. The second podcast focused on a largely forgotten 1979 Frank Sinatra album. Who knows where Longworth is going to take the podcast from here. I just hope she keeps it going.

Fantastic, fantastic stuff.

Lost American cultural history served up with fun, insight and kindness. Highly recommended if you enjoy the history of America’s wild cultural odyssey though the 20th century: movies, music and the rest.

Amazing podcast!

Absolutely wonderful podcast. Each episode is a delight. The topics are unexpected and intriguing, and the production values are high. Ms. Longworth is insightful and knows her material. There is a passion behind this venture that really shines through. I wish more podcasts were like this.
