Customer Reviews

I’ll have what they’re having.

After listening to one episode (about food in London and Sicily), I am declaring myself a fan and eagerly await future episodes and look forward to working my way through the library of past episodes. Having just returned from a vacation to western Michigan that was structured around drinking local brews and ciders, eating local cherries and blueberries, and visiting a particular farm known for its farm store and food service, I really relate to how this podcast addresses food as a motivation for travel and a primary pleasure to be found in one’s travels. I particularly enjoyed co-host Kate’s mother, Tricia, appearing as a special guest, and their discussions of eating in England, including eating their own cooking of wonderful foods found in English grocery stores at their Airbnb, and share their fondness for takeaway foods from M&S. Rick’s discussion with his sister, Helen, of their eating adventures in Sicily, touching on the freshness of its seafood, local eggplant (thinly sliced!), and mini cannolis was also enticing; they also stayed-in a few nights to cook foods purchased at local markets. The episode began with a plea to listeners as to how the hosts might monetize their passion for food, talking about food, and travel, to which I reply: take me with you! Organize an eating tour to your favorite places, and get a group of like-minded travelers together to share and discuss dishes, shop at local markets, and cook together!

Chatting with good friends

Their podcasts feel like you are sitting down with good friends for a cozy, smart, funny conversation. Complete with wine and a cheese plate (or coffee, scones and fresh fruit...whichever you prefer!) Kate and Rick make me giggle, reflect, and be a little happier after I listen.

This was the first "You Won't Believe" pod-cast and I loved it. My goal is to listen to one a day. Thank you for a lovely experience.
