I can see why folks in the gated communities of Coto are giving this show bad reviews. It's a most shocking look in the mirror, dah-lings! I lived in Newport Beach for 8 years, and this show is VERY realistic. I saw these people every day. The short attention spans, the overextended financial situations, the troubled distant kids. Work ethic? That's something the housekeepers and landscapers have. The level of stress in nouveaux places like Newport Coast and Coto de Caza is unbelievably high. You don't think of people like this when you think of Southern California, but it is truly New Jersey on steroids. I've been living "Back East" for 3 years and feeling so homesick for the nice sunny climate of Newport. But watching this show brings back all the reality of it: the 60-year-old Barbie dolls and the overleveraged wimpy ex-baseball-player-turned-insurance-salesmen. And suddenly, I'm not so homesick for Orange County anymore! I most enthusiastically recommend this riveting show. Thanks again, Apple.
Can I give negative stars???
WOW....thank the maker this was free! I will give anything a try once, esspecially for free on here, but I must say this show is complete and total garbage. I know that reality T.V. has sadly been the big craze, but enough is enough. I got about 5 minutes into this show before I had to turn it off, erase it from my iPod, iTunes clense my system and stab my eyes out from such drivel. What caused me to stop? Watching one of the "Mothers" take her spoiled rich daughter to a Mercedes dealership to get her a new one because she did not like her older brother's "hand-me-down" Mercedes, that he drove all of a few weeks. The girl, while sitting in the car she picked out, had the nerve to say, if her Mom got her this car, she would then believe that she loved her. UGH! Here is a concept, make her work! No, we cannot expect that from these "token" housewives. This show made me ill. Apple, how about we forego the trash and bring on more classic TV and other quality programs?
Awful and Disgusted!
I live in a gated community in the "OC" and this show does not represent any of us here. This show make the OC seems so shamful and stupid! Even worse than MTV's "Laguna Beach" and close to "My Super Sweet 16"! Please, for goodness sake, do we need another show with Rich and White and Spoiled people? NO, Bravo, no.
