EPISODE 1
2017 AL Wild Card: Twins at Yankees
The Yankees didn't wilt after the Twins put up a three-spot in the first inning of the American League Wild Card Game as New York answered with Didi Gregorius' three-run homer in the bottom half and Brett Gardner's solo shot in the second, both off Ervin Santana, who lasted just two innings. Aaron Judge's two-run blast in the fourth off Jose Berrios provided the Yanks with insurance as they kept the lead and advanced to the AL Division Series to face the Indians. Brian Dozier made history, becoming the first player to hit a leadoff homer to open an MLB postseason, while Eddie Rosario followed with a two-run shot to chase Yankees starter Luis Severino after just one-third of an inning. New York's bullpen, led by David Robertson's 3 1/3 scoreless innings, held Minnesota to just one run after Severino's exit.
