Based on an Israeli television series Prisoners of War; a psychological thriller that tells the story of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), a CIA officer battling her own demons, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) a U.S. soldier who had been missing and presumed dead for nine years, was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. Mandy Patinkin will portray Saul, a veteran CIA division chief who is Carrie's (Danes) boss and mentor.

Outstanding show. Simply great.
There really are a limited number of good television shows nowadays to watch. And this is definitely one of the best. Great acting, fantastic story. Everything about it is really deep and engrossing. Only ding I could give is ...what's up with the changing rank? He was a E-5 Sergeant in the first episode, then they suddenly changed it to an E-7 Gunnery Sergeant. And they still call him Sergeant!!! This would be a major faux pas in the Marines. An insult to Brody. If he's a Gunnery Sergeant E-7 you would NEVER call him "Sergeant" Brody. You would call him "Gunny" or "Gunnery Sergeant" Brody. By calling him "Sergeant" you are making him an E-5 again. It's disrespectful and the producers should correct this one glarring oversight.
Still- I love this show. Highly recommended.
Very interesting show. It is fictitious but a lot of the elements and motives are realistic. To the guy who said "this show is racist towards muslims". First of all being muslim (being a follower of islam) isn't a race its a religion. Second I really disagree that it is anti-muslim. Pretty much all the muslims plotting terrorism in it are clearly fundamentalist extremists and not an example of how most muslims think or act. Also the tv show does show the reason and motive for them doing what they do (ex. drone strikes) instead of suggesting that they try to attack us because we live happy lives like a lot of politicians suggest.
overal very good show
Cant say enough how good it is!!!
I saw this back when it first came out- and was pulled in right from the beginning-This is the type of series you cant believe is even possible to make!!! It is off the charts in terms of believability and real life human drama!!! So glad they are having a second season!!!
