Description
ALL RISE pulls back the curtain on the court system to show the lives of dedicated judges and attorneys as they work with bailiffs, clerks, cops and jurors to bring justice to the people of Los Angeles. Newly appointed Judge Lola Carmichael was a formidable deputy district attorney. Her best friend/former colleague Mark Callan is a successful deputy district attorney who must adjust to their shifting personal and professional relationship. She receives counsel from influential Supervisory Judge Judith Benner who oversees Lola’s transition and from her efficient judicial assistant, Sherri Kansky, who isn’t thrilled to “train” a rookie judge. Also working in the courthouse are public defender Emily Lopez; Luke Watkins, a court bailiff by day, law student by night; and Sara Pratt, a court reporter and reliable source of intel. Amid a flawed legal system, these men and women try to rebalance the scales of justice.
