Inspired by the real-life upbringing of co-executive producer Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), this new half-hour series follows Bonnie (Alicia Silverstone), an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters after leaving her husband amid the rise of second-wave feminism in the 1970’s. With the help of her two best friends, Kathleen (Mena Suvari) and Diana (Jennifer Bartels), these three women each discover their own brand of independence in a glamorous and ever-changing world reluctant to give it.

More Lifetime movie than Mad Men
This wants to be another Mad Men, but it's not. It just doesn't work, they tried to make it a lifetime movie about different times, and remind you it's in the 70's by hammering you with obvious references now and then, rather than subtly blending in issues of inequality into a well written period piece. To make it worse (more annoying) Alicia Silverstone's exaggerated lip movement might have been cute when she was 18 and doing music videos, but now it comes across as just desperate, and it's not a replacement for good acting.
Classy and waiting to watch more
A refreshing tv series with a classy touch and had me gripped to watch what is to follow. Kyle excellent job and hope your sisters love you enough to support you on a creative project. I’m extremely close to my mother and understand the connection. Well done!
I didn't know what to expect, and I love it. The cast was a great suprise and I look forward to seeing wear how the story line and characters evolve. Deep yet subtle pain and understanding what it's like to be a woman with children.
