Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

America's Next Top Model returns for another season with Tyra Banks kicking off cycle seventeen by bringing back an all-star cast of fan favorites and outrageous characters from previous cycles of the show. These women of various backgrounds, shapes and sizes return to prove that they can make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modeling and celebrity, featuring an exciting line-up of special guest judges. There is a lot at stake with these seasoned veterans, poised to earn the prestigious title of "America's Next Top Model," that previously eluded them. Time has passed and these models have changed…for better and for worse. In addition to exposure to prolific fashion-industry gurus and successful entrepreneurs, the finalists will compete in complicated catwalks, ambitious fashion photo shoots and work to carefully craft their public personas, all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance of the cameras that chronicle every move.

I came to watch Top Model, what the heck is this??

My wife and I have watched the last several seasons of ANTM and have always liked the professional critiques, fashion and artistry. The last couple seasons have been raising the bar with top photographers, designers, stylists and prizes. They focused on Tyra's personal endeavor to find beauty in overlooked or unlikely places, and develop it into something successful.

This season, is unfortunately none of the above. It would be more accurately named "America's Next Top Tabloid Cover Personality". All judging, critique, and assignments revolve around "building a brand" and getting the attention of fans and media. There is no more fashion or beauty involved in the photo shoots, only a competition to see who can be the most outrageous or more of a spectacle (the tabloid cover training). Tonight's episode involved eating hot dogs in suggestive and ridiculous ways. Contestants are encouraged to work on their "Star Power" instead of being given any useful coaching as a model. The shows are also promoting the future participation of Kim Kardashian and encouraging cat fights, yelling matches and other dramatic reality TV junk behavior from the contestants.

We watched the first two episodes and will not be watching any more. Last season, guest judges included Roberto Cavalli and Francesca Sozzani. The first three guest judges this season are Nicki Minaj (rapper), Ashlee Simpson ("singer" and tabloid personality), and reality show "star" Kristin Cavallari. If you are wondering what these people have to do with modeling, culture, or high fashion, well I can tell you that watching this season of Top Model will still leave you wondering.

I only hope that fans of the show will help send a message to the producers that this cheap sell-out to pop culture and reality TV / tabloid chasing ruins the show. There is literally no hint this season of the Top Model we used to like so much. I really hope that Tyra and / or Ken Mok come to their senses or reawaken to some artistic integrity and restore the show next season to the high standard it used to set for these sort of programs.

Great season, but where

Love this season. But please put up the first 8 seasons on to iTunes!

Cool idea

Now can she just do a full figured model season?? All star should've been her last season if anything because this show is getting old! She did a petite ANTM now its time for a plus sized ANTM! Common Tyra I hate that whitney is the only full figured model to win! There should be more!
