Based on the best-selling children's books by Marc Brown, ARTHUR follows the adventures of the world's most famous aardvark -- 8-year-old Arthur Read -- his four year-old sister D.W., and their family and friends. In each episode, Arthur and his friends encounter the joys and difficulties that all kids experience -- from facing down a bully and welcoming a new sibling to battling head lice -- and manage to handle each situation with imagination, kindness, and a lot of humor. The series also models the pleasures of reading by presenting the many ways kids -- and adults -- incorporate reading and writing into their lives.

5-Star Series, 2 Episodes here are mediocre
Easily one of the best television shows of all time, Arthur is not your standard "dumbed-down" cartoon . It parodies South Park, Beavis and Butthead, Pokemon, Harry Potter, and more. It has a perfect mix of older age humor and younger audience "fun" entertainment. All the characters have intricately woven personalities that can not be summed up in simple one-word categories like "slacker". This is a gem if you can appreciate it. The first 5 seasons were the best and these 2 are both in the 10+ seasons so needless to say these 2 episodes are past its prime. They should add the first seasons!!!!!!! I watch it about once a week now (I'm 19 and in college) and it is entertaining far beyond the nostalgia factor!!!
