These two powerhouses are well-respected in their individual fields. I love Frederick and the show "Million Dollar Listing New York", and high strung Bethenny in "The real Housewives of NYC". That's why I was extatic when I heard about this upcoming show, since I also love real estate. The show is disappointing because each episode is only 21 minutes long and it is mainly about two huge egos colliding and a lot of bickering.
It had potential
This could have really been good if they would just focus on renovating and not bickering every step of the way. To take a gut job and make it into a work of art esp. in NYC would have been fascinating and a joy to watch.
I know that drama is suppose to make for good TV but in this case it ruins it. By the time the actual get around to agreeing and doing the renovations jus for the this one apartment the season will be half way done.
The first episode should be working out the details on price and the decor. Visiting different store and negotiating for an optimal price for the granite, bathroom tile, or whatever else they need.
The second episode should show the actual renovation from beginning to end.
In theory this should be a great show with two potentially super interesting personalities, but someone made the decision to place all the emphasis on arguing which is boring. Written differently both Bethenny and Frederick could have shown different sides of their personality that we’ve never seen before. Oh well, they rather stick with the well worn path of conflict it seems.
