4K? It's 2017
Says "filmed in 4K" but only offered in 1080p, when can we have 4K as an option please?
How does this series hold up as compared to the Planet Earth series? Very well! The narration, information and camera work are all superb. Even those creatures and events that you are already famailiar with are presented in a facinating way. I have watched three episodes, and each has been top notch. I would reccomend this without hesitation to anyone who loves God's creation.
On Par With Planet Earth, Blue Planet...
Yes, I think Big Pacific is as good as anything from BBC Earth, including Planet Earth and Blue Planet. The cinematography is top notch. One nice feature is that brief captions pinpoint filming locations on the map. Also has a good musical score along with smooth narration by Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O).
