Outta left field, I am gobsmacked!
Glitzier shows ruled the hyperbolic chambers, "Pan-Am" (pretty, but vapid), "Person of Interest" (another gimmicky -- but luscious anyway -- bon-bon from JJA), "Prime Suspect" (the superb Bello takes on the even more superb Mirren and does just fine) & "Ringer" (it has its moments, but time will tell); however THIS one knocked my jodhpurs out of true. I never much cared for Poppy M. in an otherwise great cast on "Without a Trace", but she RRRROCKS in auburn & this show has tons more depth & heart than all of 2011's pilots put together. Certainly better than the banal voyeurfests of "Playboy Club" & "Revenge" Best hour of the new season so far, sitcoms notwithstanding.
You guys carp on Apple all you wanna for not providing a free pilot, but don't demerit the show stars because of Apple's poor beeswax. It ain't the show's fault.
Thought it was great!
I actually didn't think this show would be that good when i heard and saw all the previews, but after watching it, it actually turned out to be a pretty good show. I couldn't stop thinking about it and am now trying to get my friends to watch it because all i want to do is talk about it. It was grew to see Poppy Montgomery again and having such a decent show, i was glad i saw it.
Sure, it could go off the air- i could see it not gaining enough popularity because of the somewhat lame ads, but i got to say, it was pretty good. Definitely check it out.
I really have to say...this show is amazing..can't wait for the future episodes.
