Description

Season Four’s explosive finale concluded with Walt (Bryan Cranston) defeating Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) in their season-long battle of wits, taking down the ice-cold kingpin once and for all. With Jesse (Aaron Paul) back on his side, now Walt is faced with the prospect of moving on in a world without his enemy. As the pressure of a criminal life starts to build, Skyler (Anna Gunn) struggles to keep Walt’s terrible secrets. Facing resistance from sometime adversary and former Fring lieutenant Mike, Walt tries to keep his world from falling apart even as his DEA Agent brother in law, Hank (Dean Norris), finds numerous leads that could blaze a path straight to Walt.

A Fantastic Beginning of the End

To explain this mini-season to BB fans who have yet to watch any of it: think of Harry Potter's storyline by Deathly Hallows part 1, or Star Wars' between the end of Empire Strikes Back and beginning of Return of the Jedi. That is essentially the plot point in which this mini-season establishes, and does it fantastically. While I first figured that the "Walt's Empire" story should have had more focus put into it (one of my few nitpicks), I later realized that the point of this season is to set the real course for destruction for the series to eventually end on, and once we see the final episodes we may eventually see that these 8 episodes were set up perfectly when put into perspective.

This is a fantastic mini-season and, overall, is about the same level of quality as others when it comes to an overall packaged season, but some episodes REALLY stand out as some of the best on the show (especially Dead Freight and Say My Name).
Breaking Bad has got to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest television show of any genre that I have watched, and I simply can't wait to see how the series' conclusion unfolds.

Talking about getting hooked to a TV series I guess this is it !!

I'm no television entusiast but ever since I watched the first episode of Braking Bad I got hooked like a drug junkie. Amazing drama this is the closest you ever get to feel the life of the under world of the drug dealers and cartel members. Heil to the writer !

So far...the best !

Gripping ! BB is the best TV drama I have ever watched hands down !
