Breaking Pointe rips back the curtain on the inner workings of elite Salt Lake City Ballet Company, Ballet West. It obliterates the notion that ballet is a dated art form and shatters pre-conceived stereotypes about the men and women who give their lives to the world of ballet. Beneath their perfect exteriors, these dancers have the toughness of linebackers, punishing their bodies to achieve perfection and dancing through injuries and pain. Led by Artistic Director Adam Sklute, a former dancer and Associate Director of The Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West and Ballet West II's company of 48 dancers includes: Principal Artist Christiana Bennett, Soloist Ronnie Underwood, Demi-Soloist Allison DeBona, Demi-Soloist Rex Tilton, Beckanne Sisk, Kathleen Martin and Ronald Tilton. Shot in a rich, cinematic style, Breaking Pointe pulls the viewer directly into the company, where they will experience the exhausting rehearsals, the stylized glamour of the dancers' life and the vibrant and dynamic main-stage performances.

Love this show!
I love this show! It shows the hard work that dancers put towards their work and artistry and how compeitive it really can be. I love it because I live in SLC and go to their performances when I get a chance, so seeing them on TV and then on the stage, makes it even better. Love this show because I am a dancer and I know how taunting and demanding this can be to strive for perfection.
Where is season 2?
I absolutely loved the first season of Breaking Pointe and was looking forward to season 2. I'm really disappointed it isn't available on here yet. What's going on?
I am not a dancer, but I appreciate the artistry of ballet and this show is a behind the scenes look at what it really takes to be a ballerina. It really is beautiful to watch. My new favorite show.
