Summer heats up with the fifth season premiere of Burn Notice starring Jeffrey Donovan as Michael Westen, a blacklisted spy who finds himself stranded in sun-soaked Miami. Has Michael finally found his way back into the CIA? Will he return to Miami? Can he and Miami's new counterintelligence expert, Jesse Porter (Coby Bell), co-exist? Also heating up South Beach are Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), the beautiful ex-IRA operative and Michael’s ex-girlfriend; Sam (Bruce Campbell), our favorite washed-up military intelligence muscle; and Michael’s mother (Emmy® Award-winner Sharon Gless), who is one tough cookie herself.

Why I Love Burn Notice...

It's set in Miami. The cast is close to perfect. The storylines are the perfect blend of action and humor and after 5 seasons it is still at the top of it's game.

And Summer Just Got Hotter!

With hit shows like "Covert Affairs" And "White Collar" returning,Burn Notice just makes summer t.v that much better. So if you havent started wacthing ,join the ride.

Disappointing start

Keeping in mind, I'm a season 1-4 fanatic, including the Sam Axe mini, I felt let down by episode 1.

It really seems like the writing/chemistry is on the wane and some really obvious plot points are just sticking out there with the introduction of two new minor characters and the strong verbal statements about the mystery how the shadow organization was able to elude detection for so long.

Gee I wonder if those two will be related.

I've already bought the season and will watch all the episodes but this isn't heading in a good direction imho (compared to prior seasons, still a decent piece of entertainment mind you).
