Just Plain Fun
Californication, all seasons, is an absolute guilty pleasure! Season 5 has enough twists yet it never goes off the rails (but it comes close-which makes it even more hilarious). This is an adult dark comedy but only for those who can handle it. It has sex, drugs, yes-rock and roll, infidelity, deception, and all of those things that make life interesting: and it does it well.
If you are easily offended, religious or don't like adult topics displayed in an in your face manner then stay away! This isn't the show for you.
If on the other hand, if you like to see people dealing with their issues while dealing with other people's issues then turn on, tune in, and drop this show into your iTunes library-you won't regret it.
I have to agree with some other posts, this season is by far the weakest of the 5 (haven't seen 6). I am a huge fan of this show and waited a year to see it. I was disappointed; there seemed to be too many changes, sets, were all changed, no more apartment, no Runkle's house, no Agency. Instead new houses for all and many characters moving over from last season, Stu Biggs, Richard Bates etc. Also many new people which for the most part I didn't like.
Storyline was weak, the jokes were pretty thin on the ground, the writing was just not epic like the seasons that came before. I really hope the new season is trying to get bac to what makes this show great.
Where is season 6??
