On the vibrant world of Caprica, in a culture close to our own, two dynamic families, the Graystones and the Adamas, live separately on opposite ends of society until brought together by tragedy. Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz), a computer engineering genius, is spearheading the development of artificial intelligence. Tragedy strikes him and his wife Amanda (Paula Malcomson) when their daughter Zoe (Alessandra Torresani) dies in a terrorist bombing. Also living on Caprica, deeply entrenched in a cultural heritage apart from the rest of civilization, is the Adama clan. The family is helmed by Joseph Adama (Esai Morales), a renowned criminal defense attorney, and father to William (Sina Najafi) and Tamara (Genevieve Beuchner). When Joseph’s wife and daughter perish in the same attack that befell Zoe Graystone, Joseph’s path soon crosses Daniel’s as they unite in grief. Daniel has discovered that Zoe, a computer genius in her own right, had managed to create a life-like avatar of herself, a perfect digital copy. Obsessed with the possibility of seeing his daughter again, Daniel implores Joseph to help him make Zoe’s vision a complete — and the fate of the human race is altered forever . . .

His unwavering professional pursuits are driven to extreme measures when personal tragedy strikes him and his wife Amanda: their strong-willed daughter Zoe dies in a terrorist bombing fueled by an underground religious dogma. Unbeknownst to her parents, the teenager had been dabbling in these radical teachings, which were secretly propagated by her school's headmistress, Sister Clarice Willow. Also living on Caprica but deeply entrenched in a cultural heritage that sets them apart from the rest of civilization, is the Adama clan, helmed by Joseph Adama, a renowned criminal defense attorney - with questionable ties and sometimes-devious methods - and father to William and Tamara. When Joseph's wife and daughter perish in the same attack that befell Zoe Graystone, Joseph's path crosses Daniel's, and the two become united in their grief. Soon, Daniel lets Joseph in on a sinister secret: Zoe, a computer genius in her own right, had been experimenting with perilous virtual reality technology along with her friend Lacy, and created a life-like avatar of herself, a perfect digital copy. Obsessed with the possibility of seeing his daughter again, and preying on Joseph's shared emotions, Daniel implores his new confidante to help make Zoe's vision a reality. Appalled by the ethical implications of recreating a soul, but aching to bring his own daughter back to life, Joseph complies...and the fate of the human race is altered forever.||49:12||$2.99||View in iTunes|

|3||HDClosed CaptioningVideoRebirth||In the wake of the MagLev bombing that killed his daughter, Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) plunges himself into work. He tries to figure out why he can only create a single intelligent robot, not understanding that the answer lies within the fact that part of his daughter survived the explosion and is closer to him than he could imagine. Consumed with grief, Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcomson) is obsessed with discovering who her daughter really was, and slowly begins piecing together the details of Zoes life. Zoe (Alessandra Torresani), trapped in the robot body, turns to her friend Lacy (Magda Apanowicz) for help. At the same time, Headmistress Clarice Willow (Polly Walker) - a secret member of the shadowy "Soldiers of the One" terrorist group - is also focused on Lacy, putting the girl under pressure from all sides. In the episode's culmination, at a memorial service for the victims of the train disaster, Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) confronts Daniel about the loss of his own daughter. Before they can come to an understanding, they are interrupted by a stunning public announcement from Amanda Graystone, who has become convinced that her daughter Zoe was to blame for the terrorist action.||46:25||$2.99||View in iTunes|

At the same time, Zoe Graystone (Alessandra Torresani) adjusts to living life in a robot. She hopes her friend Lacy (Magda Apanowicz) will help her escape to another planet -- neighboring Gemenon. Lacy is concerned, however, that she is rousing the suspicions of headmistress (and STO leader) Clarice Willow (Polly Walker). While in V-World, the girls meet a frightened Tamara Adama who doesn't understand what she is or how she came to be here. Someone please pull this crap off the air. It is an obvious dollhouse rip-off. Please just put dollhouse back on the air and remove this show... in fact you could just put dollhouse on scifi (yes it's scIfI). Too bad all the good shows get replaced with crap like this. Maybe I should just watch shows from the UK. At least they are somewhat appealing.
Won't Get Fooled Again
After the ending for Gallactica I will never watch another show by these producers. Robot Chicken had it best when the producer was throwing darts to determine which charecter was a Cylon. The fact that the producers had to resort to a naked woman (yeah, I get the whole Eve thing, DUH!) to entice people to view the preview. This just illustrates how lacking this show will be. The producers should just try for the Soap Network for their junk since a petty soap opera is all this will ever be.
Beginning of the Cylon race
So you think you know the whole history of BSG? Along with BSG- The Plan, Caprica will take us back to the very beginning, when Bill Adama's father Joseph begrudgingly helps Daniel Graystone develop the first Cylon. This is not your father's BSG, like Star Trek wasn't your father's, either. I remember watching the original BSG movie in the theater and both series, BSG and Galactica '80 first run on TV. When BSG was being resurrected, I had my reservations, but with Richard Hatch (original Apollo) giving his blessing, it was good enough to follow and for all 4.5 seasons I did. Who's to say that this can't take place in the future. Not our future, but 2=3 generations from now- a cybernetic being.
