Fantastic Sci fi
I have to say I am impressed with this series. As a long time Sci fi fan of the likes of
Heinlein, Asimov, Ray Bradley, and an avid reader of the nebula and Hugo award winners I am usually only slightly intrigued by TV series. I did love Firefly, still mourn the end of Stargate, but must say Continuum is great stuff. It really is genius to mix a police drama, the intellectual stimulation of time travel, the creativity of creating a futuristic world and deep character development. One comes to connect and care about these characters yet they live in a world of complexity. Even the 'terrorists' are driven by ideals and one sees the complexity of employing desperate measures to struggle against a possible future where the populace has lost freedom and control.
I'm not normally a huge sci fi fan
Besides Star Wars, at least, but this shows got me hooked. At first it started to seem like a cop show with a time travel twist but at the end of last season the game changed and now I'm even more into it. I hope the seasons keep coming this show is awesome.
I liked the first two seasons, but the whole anti-corporation theme is taken to a new level in the 3rd season. It’s over-the-top, trite and trying to draw parallels to “corporate control” of government in real-life. It’s like a TV show soaked in Marxism.
