Description
Still divorced, still broke and still searching for his place in the world of New York City stand-up, good-natured but perpetually floundering Pete (Pete Holmes) is back in Season 2. With the help of fellow rising comic Ali (Jamie Lee), Pete explores the alternative-comedy scene--a land of offbeat venues and no-drink minimums--before finding himself ensconced in comedy's crowded college market. As he tries to survive in this cutthroat business, Pete gets pearls of stand-up wisdom from greats like Penn Jillette, Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings and his very first comedian guru, Artie Lange. Along the way, he finds his worldview changing, as he starts to question his morals, his feelings toward religion, and what it takes to make it--all while continuing to crash on other people's couches.
