Tom gets Spike sent to obedience school, and Jerry is left without a protector. When Spike returns, Tom tries hard to get Spike to revert to his old ways, but Jerry fights back.

When Tom and Jerry accidentally ruin Spike's birthday party for Tyke, he forces them to take over. But no matter what they do at the puppy birthday bash, nothing seems to work out.

Toodles hires Tom and Jerry to investigate and protect her against a threat to her tuna can inheritance, but a mysterious figure keeps trying to hurt them as they investigate.
