Dan thinks the whole world is against him. Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't -- not even his laid-back friend Chris is totally sure. Maybe Dan's just imagining it all. But, like Chris, you can't help going along for the ride when Dan dreams up his wild plots to get even with whoever or whatever he thinks is out to get him.

I love this show because the jokes are soo funny and mature but not gross its a different humor if you a sardonic person youll love it

Brilliant show

Dan Vs. is a brilliant cartoon, beautifully animated and using new animation technology to its advantage with amazing effects and smooth, and with an almost-real, yet adorable style that I find pleasing to look at.
The episode plots are well-written, with certain intresting twists in them to keep you from being able to tell exactly just what events will happen once Dan unleashes his wrath. It's always fun to see what actually comes about, and by the end of each episode, the resolve is always strangley satisfying.
It's a joy to see what events take place next, and the humor is fresh and real, some even sublte in that you must see the event, action, or read a little tid-bit (New Mexico episode sign: Go Home Dan; Ninja episode clothing store sign: We all want to be someone else), as well as hear the dialogue, instead of most cartoons making their characters yell out too obvious and cheesy lines, as if the audience had bad hearing or something. In Dan Vs., the amazing humor is a relief.
The characters' personalities are well defined and have interesting quirks to them that make it all more fun to watch. As the title implies, Dan the main character, is a short-tempered little man who gets easily frustrated when things don't go his way. Unfortunantly for him, they usually don't, and his whole day(s) revolve around pllotting a way to avenge those who wronged him. The best part is you never know what Dan would get revenge against next. New Mexico to The Dentist, to The beach! it's fun to see how he can push the limits. He even went up against an entire country (Canada) which I found entertaining, and quite creative on the writer's parts.
Every main character needs a side-kick of course, and Chris is perfect for the part. His personality being completely opposite of Dan makes the team work. Chris would rather sit, chill, and eat a snack (His love for snacks makes an interesting peronality trait), than plot revenge. Unfortuantly for poor Chris, his want for peace causes him to give in to helping Dan with his schemes. Chris isn't just a side-kick, though, in that he has a unique personality all his own. In the Barber episode, he even stood up to Dan, and in several others he tries to protest and even talk to Dan about how he feels about the way he's treated. This makes him more of a 3 demensional character, and adds more depth to the show. But luckily he always reverts back to the push-over, and that makes it fun to watch, knowing that the original concept wouldn't change too drastically. The fans can still enjoy the wacky adventures angry Dan and his doormat friend Chris, get themselves into.
The addition of Elise, Chris's wife, adds a whole other aspect, and story to the show. Elise seems to have her own revenges at times, and is secrectly a spy/ninja (Her ninja background is half revealed in The Ninja episode) of some sort, although the audience doesn't know for who or what all at once, as it's dropped in bits throughout different episodes. That makes a fun show even more fun and entertaining, and Elise's knowledge for spying even helps with the hard/practically impossible schemes. She's a great character in the show, and she's a tough, cool character at that (Plus the only smart one out of Dan and Chris. Her reasonable logic brings some needed structure to the show, and some of the revelations of her genius causes the audience to only know more about her, making the series very creative, and leaving fans wanting more.)

All in all, Dan Vs. is an amazing show, and even despite some minor mistakes (In the technology episode, Chris's car explodes, yet they later driver away from the crazy ax murdering cannibal, In the dentist episode, Chris' hand floats onto his wrist before they tiptoe to the bulding, Dans phone dissapears in the Canada episode when Chris goes to pull him off the door, even though it was stuck to his back, and other small animation flaws.) the show is still incredibly entertaining and an immense pleasure to watch. It's definately the best I've seen since the old cartoons I used to adore, and I hope they stay to it and keep up the fun, wonderful stories. I would recommend this to ANYONE, any age! I look forward to Dan Vs. every week! It's like a prize for lasting an entire awul week, haha!
