Veteran NYC comic Dave Attell is back in his special "Road Work." This unique special cuts together multiple performances from his past tour. From NOLA to Philly and more, it feels more like a concert film than a traditional stand-up special.

Dave Attell is the professor in this Stand-Up Comedy Master Class!
This is one of the BEST stand-up specials that I have ever seen (and bought) -- and I have seen a LOT.
There are so many layers to ROAD WORK, where do I begin? Let's start with Attell's jokes. Brilliant. Sure, they are dirty,
but that's the charm of this. It's not a watered down namby-pamby stand-up set with a guy playing it safe in front of a
curtain. Some comedians can't pull off filth like Dave Attell. He's the Einstein of blue. Each joke and even the off-the-
cuff remarks to the crowds are brilliant. Yes. There are dick, sex & poop jokes, but, even the most established comedians
out there should take a look at the level of art Attell brings those topics to.
Aside from the bits, this special is jaw-dropping, if only for the fact that it actually lets you experience what BEING at
a comedy club is like --- except for certain smells, 2 drink minimum and the check drop. Attell and his cameraguy toured
the country and taped at 5 different clubs - Stress Factory (NJ), Hu Ke Lau (MA), Helium (Philly), Acme Comedy (MN) and
One Eyed Jack's (NOLA) --- and even gave handheld video cameras to members of the audience for a POV that hasn't been seen
in a stand-up special before (IMO)
I've watched this thing about 5 times so far and each time, I have picked up on a joke that Dave Attell says that I didn't
hear in the previous viewing because I had been laughing too hard.
All in all, ROAD WORK is a classic stand up special that should really be added to the comedy aficionado's collection.
Dave Attell is a true master of his craft.
