Season 5 opens with two special back-to-back episodes, as Josh Gates and his team lead viewers on a chase into one of the world’s biggest caves in the jungles of Vietnam to search for Bigfoot. Then, at the overwhelming request of fans, they’ll travel to Romania for a return visit to the haunted Hoia Bachu Forest, the site of their most terrifying investigation to date, and then explore the reportedly haunted Mayan ruins of Tikal in pursuit of a monster known as the Belize Goblin. They'll also lead viewers into a remote Transylvanian village on a hunt for vampires and journey to Kazakhstan (a "Destination Truth" first) to search for the legendary Kazakh monster. "Destination Truth" is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Productions ("1000 Places to See Before You Die," "Celebrity Rehab," "FM Nation").

Looks like the best season to date, it was worth the longer wait between seasons. Hope to see it last much longer.
Well here comes a new season of Destination Truth and you know they are not going to find any monster, and someone will end up getting hurt most of the time , Ryder the Blonde. But Josh Gates adds with his crew a lot of Comedy. No one is a real comdian but they all work together and make their trip all over the world as fun as possible. I enjoy seeing Josh make up his jokes as they travel. It's all in good fun Not too be taken too seriously. I do not advise anyone try and talk with the dead. What we need is a group like this to travel around the world and show the sites all over, with the comedy of course.
Great show, glad to see it return. The perfect mix of humor and seriousness. This show is definitely unique among the pantheon of paranormal investigation shows. It's more like a cultural exploration travel show with a little bit of "Bizarre Foods" in each episode, along with at least one mode of terribly dangerous and/or comical transportation, and then of course, the serious investigation.
Definitely hitting its stride full force so far this season. I can't recommend it enough to fans of the paranormal genre, or even just fans of travel/adventure type shows.
