The fact that THIS particular story arc has just become available on itunes is absolutely fantastic. This story was my first Doctor Who, my introduction, from when I was just a wee thing. Little did I know that these six eps encapsulates all that is pure Doctor Who - clever writing, interesting ideas, scariness, adventure, humour and heartbreak. I think I was spoilt from the outset! Maybe this is sentimentality speaking here but this still stands the test of time in wonderful storytelling. There is a big divide as to whether this story should have been condensed into a 4 episode arc, instead of the 6. I lean to the 6 but see where the other camp are coming from ;) So some may find this a bit overlong. I could write more but we would be venturing into spoiler territory which isn't very fair. Whoever is finding and enabling classic episodes to be put on itunes is my hero at the moment!
Since seeing the new doctor, I have been hoping that Apple would start putting the classic series online (seeing hope in their adding of the classic Star Trek series!) Thank you guys! For those of you of the generation that was writing your first programs on an Apple ][e (or know what a floppy is), these classic Who episodes are just what the doctor ordered :)
OMG...Doctor Who on iTunes
I love it. Fantastic!! Great to have episodes not on DVD yet. Tom Baker would be good but Black and White Doctor Who would be better. Why is it TV14...This is for kids like 8 years old. Hmmm? A must have for any Sci-Fi fan. An awsome step forward for like the best longest running Sci-Fi show ever. Phase Abandon Rocks!!!
