In the highly anticipated first season of Dollhouse, Echo (Eliza Dushku) is an “Active,” a member of a highly illegal and underground group who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. Confined to a secret facility known as the “Dollhouse,” Echo and the other Actives including Sierra and Victor carry out engagements assigned by Adelle, one of the Dollhouse leaders. The engagements cater to the wealthy, powerful, and connected, and require the Actives to immerse themselves in all manner of scenarios — romantic, criminal, uplifting, dangerous, comical, and the occasional “pro bono” good deed. After each scenario, Echo, always under the watchful eye of her handler Boyd, returns to the mysterious Dollhouse where her thoughts, feelings, and experiences are erased by Topher, the Dollhouse’s genius programmer. Echo enters the next scenario with no memory of before. Or does she?

Excellent new show
I thought the episode had an interesting premise, the acting and writing are top-notch and I'll definitely continue watching.
Great start to a show that will only get better in time...
Wonderful start for the show! Fans of Joss Whedon, or his other shows (Buffy, Angel, Firefly), will not be disappointed. This show will only get better as well, as Joss was forced to restructure this first episode quite a bit by FOX.
Dollhouse, a hit!
I have been waiting FOREVER to see the show and at first it seemed really weird. When the premiere premiered last night, I couldn't blink! Dollhouse is such a good show and it's totally worth watching. If you're a fan of "My Own Worst Enemy", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and "Angel", then you'll definitely love it. Let's just say, Joss Whedon has done it again!
