Give it a chance
Apparently the top comment was very angry. I say give it a chance it is not meant to dis the military it is a show. Yes I love the people who fought for my country. But this has nothing to do with that…give it a chance. It a comedy for crying out loud
Real quick. They did a pilot without much advising and according to Army Times they apologize for the obvious and blatant disregard for uniform standards, and they will have those issues addressed in later episodes. But Jesus, they are having a laugh and honestly weren't bad at doing it. If there's a soldier out there that can't take a joke then there's already a breakdown in basic morale. Each Unit is different and honestly I've deployed Iraq and also been on a rear-d due to ACAP. I've been with good and bad units and the show might show some over the top inaccuracies but take it as a compliment that someone wants to do a comedy about this stuff. Jesus for the last ten years we've been glorified by everyone but the Westburough Baptists, and even in this show they showed some very respectful moments giving a nod to the force. Enjoy it.
The Comedy Show of the Year.
This show is wonderfully great and different in it's own way because as we see in the trailer it deals with the military but it also has a lot to do with family, I haven't enjoyed a show this much in a long time. It was funny but not in the Lame "falling off a chair funny" and the humor wasn't too over the top.. which i definitely enjoy. I like humor with something else added to the mix, in this case it was family and friends. This show has a mesh of things that go together. I think that this show has potential if people would stop comparing it to shows like M*A*S*H and start looking at it with a new perspective, nobody said that this was going to be a M*A*S*H remake. So stop comparing it to other shows and focus on this as a comedic show about the military, rather than thinking that everything military related is automatically dramatic. T.V. has got to have the right mixture of TV shows in order for it to be television, if you want drama then go watch it, but please not criticize the show based on your own opinions that military shows either have to be dramatic or M*A*S*H like. I wish this show all it's success and hope for the best. Good Luck!
