I watched the first episode and was deeply drawn into the rich characters and compelling story. Set in the poverty of London's West End, it is a bit reminiscent of Dickens. But it is equally modern, tackling the emerging issue of woman's reproductive health and rights in the 50's. Highly recommended!!!!!!
