Description

The concluding season of the Showtime Original Series The Tudors brings us through the final years of one of the greatest figures of English history. Although he has been in power for many years and should by now be comfortable with his status and position, Henry’s life and times remain as turbulent, controversial and dramatic as they were when he was the young King of Season 1. Michael Hirst, creator of The Tudors, sums up the season: “We’re coming to the end of Henry’s life but things don’t slacken up. Far from going out quietly, Henry VIII goes out with an extraordinary bang. He is older, but only in his late 40s. He is ill — he has an extremely serious ulcerated leg — and more paranoid, but then he marries an extremely young woman, who didn’t have the right background to be a Queen. At the same time, he goes to war. Then he marries again, for the final time, to a woman who is very capable but whom everyone thinks is a heretic and some want to execute."

Are YOU KIDDING??!!

I wait for how long and I can't buy my favorite episodes!!!! This is insanity!!! I love the Tudors but I wanted the option of buying MY FAVORITE episodes!!! That aside, it's the end of an era for King Henry VIII. Mary and Elizabeth give hints of what they will become in the future and Henry starts to be reconciled to them and this causes him some deep contemplation of guilt as to how he treated them and their mothers. What really tied the whole season together was the appearance of Henry's first 3 wives come back to haunt him. I loved it when Henry cried at seeing Anne's ghost, which shows how guilty he feels and that he realized that he was wrong (though he won't admit it). All in all, JRM is still sexy and I felt his portrayal of Henry Tudor was fantastic! Please iTunes, individual buy!!!

Where are the episodes?

Urgh - Showtime screws it up again - you pay your money and then receive one clip of 'extras' but no episodes. And look, above, no episodes actually available!

Waiting for my refund now...

Do the Math - they are stealing from us....

10 episodes at $1.99 each (in standard definition) makes $19.90, NON $19.99 --- by selling a season pass WE ACTUALLY PAY MORE THAN WE SHOULD. I know it's only 9 cents, but in the big volume iTunes makes thousand of dollars on the Season Pass compared to the episode by episode sale. Not mentioning that, when who buys in bulk should be entitled to some discount, even forfeit (like $19.00 instead of the actual price), some kind of incentive on spending more - right? On the contrary, we actually pay more than we should, and we don't even get the episodes available. This really is a shame.... =(
